Which Spec is Better, Shadow or…That Other One?

First off, let’s point out the different “sub-games” within the World of Warcraft game umbrella, shall we?

  • PVP
  • Soloing
  • Group Questing
  • Instancing
  • Raiding
  • Roleplaying

I will go ahead and cross the first and last items off the list of things I’m going to discuss.

I do not enjoy and never intend to participate in PVP on my priest. If I ever do a post about PVP priesting, you can bet your best talbuk that I’ll have done an insane amount of research for it.

Roleplaying, by its very nature, doesn’t care what spec you are. Never place a talent point, and you’re just as viable at roleplaying as the long-lost half-dragon daughter of Elune standing next to you.

So we’re left with a goodly chunk of interesting playstyles in the middle.

Who Is the Egotistical Priest

Perhaps you find yourself wondering who this sarcastic idiot is, so I’ll kick this blog off to a start with a quick summary.

Who am I?

I am a twenty-mumble American female who plays the World of Warcraft MMORPG. My main is a draenei priestess on the Kirin Tor Roleplaying server. Her name is Vonya. Her Armory Profile is easy enough to find, and you’re free to take a look and heckle me if you feel I’ve misplaced points or made silly armor decisions.

I’m just as free to ignore you, of course, so don’t get too excited.

If you decide to send me a whisper, you aren’t likely to get a response. Partly because I dislike random whispers from people I don’t know, but mostly because I find the job of a priest to be time- and attention-consuming.

My tanks don’t particularly react well to an excuse of “Sorry, was answering a tell!” when I’m scraping the leftover bits of their corpse into a dustpan so I can resurrect them.

Don’t take it personally if I don’t respond to you.

Also, I’m well aware of the /ignore in-game function and won’t hesitate to use it if I find myself bombarded and flamed by an offended internet troll.

If you’d like to argue with me, this blog is the best way to do it. At least then I can share some of the more amusing arguments with the public without having to resort to screenshots.
