There’s a real post ready for tomorrow, but I feel the need to post now.

We just ran ZA again (to anyone interested, the fourth chest that used to hold the bear is now a second ring chest).

It was…

It was…

It was easier than easy. It was like watching a sumo wrestler tear through wet toilet paper.

It was a joke.

It was an incredibly huge amount of fun.

Also, big red devilsaurs are hilariously fun.

Edit : The completely ungeared ret pally that we took (still wearing blues) outdamanged everyone else in the raid. There was much QQing from the hunters.

Hee hee hee. Mayhaps I’ll see if people want to run it soon :)

  2. Zasp Says:

We did it in about 42 Minutes. The whole Run. For perspective a bear takes around 40 normally.

    Have fun. :D

    Zasp’s paladin…with the Apexis Clever….makes me wanna /wrist….$!#@ Paladins.

Us rets a little OP on the damage output ATM. We need it though. The only way we are going to be able to rebuild any kind of credibility is by WTFPWNing, well everything. Don’t worry, it won’t last long from the sounds of it. Maybe by the time WotLK hits we will be balanced a little better, but maybe by then we won’t get ‘LOLRET’ all the time. On the other hand, what are Level 80 Paladins doing for DPS right now? If we are where we are supposed to be, then there may be no rebalance required, and everyone will just have to suck it up for a while. Time will tell.

Until then, I say use the crap out of Ret pallies for your own gain. Need badges? Get a gaggle of pallies together to run some easy Heroics. Need Honor? Do some pre-made BGs with some Ret pallies. Wanna do some speed runs through old instances for the acheivements? Find a Ret pally or two and mow those old instances down. We will be more then happy to oblige since we aren’t used to the attention. Use the situation to your advantage, because it probably won’t last long.

Ha. Everything is easy now. I for one don’t mind one fricking bit. After Blizzard punishing us with Sunwell because we ran thru BT quickly, we finally get to actually finish KJ. I have zero (0, nada, zilch) remorse about killing KJ post nerf. booyah!
That and healing is silly simple now, and zomg Paladin are seriously going to commit suicide when the incoming nerf bat connects lol.
Khol and I will be sipping margaritas watcing the QQ fest, safely ensconced in his Fortress of Win.

(BTW, take the time to go to ubrs and get the Leroy Jenkin Achievement :) )

    kicker of the night:
    Brut – 3mins.
    Sunwell clear ~ 2hrs

  6. Ryukyu Says:

Yeah, I have my Kool-aid of death ready once the nerfs come down :P

Yep, we ran Kara last night rather than ZA, to be sure everybody’s points and new skills were working. Before we even got to Midnight we were like “holy s***, this is amazing”. Things went down EASY. WAY easy.

We took down six bosses in two hours, including Nightbane. It would have been more, but we were yakking and having way too much fun. (Isn’t that what it’s supposed to be about, anyway?).

Going back to finish the place off tonight. Then back to ZA to pick up from there.

I’m glad expansion is only a month away…Becuase yeah, its fun to cheese your way through the game, but it’s going to get old…

It is good when people do good just as long as they do no more good than our own good. Because when someone else’s good is better than my good, then my good feels bad. Hmmmmmm.

Fear not QQers, I propose any Paladin who DPSs higher than 250,000 be taxed, and the DPS be spread among the shaman.

Sometimes the players are more entertaining than the game.

I prefer screwdrivers, but the sentiment remains. You bring the tequila, I have the ice. QQ tear ice. :D

Margaritas might be better for the salty salty tears in the ice.

After leveling my priest alt all the way to 70 as a smite priest, I respecced after the patch as a deep disc. healer. In my current gear I’ve got 550 Int, 267 spirit, 881 spellpower (raid buffed), 20% spell crit chance, 90mp5 while casting. A couple of nights ago I healed a full Kara run with a holy priest, and last night I healed heroic Mech and heroic Bot to see how I did solo healing.

It was a lot of fun, (MUCH more fun than spamming chain heal pre-patch on my resto shaman), and a perfectly viable spec for healing. I wish I could give more objective feedback, but it seems that WoW Web Stats has not yet been updated for 3.0.2, so I could not analyze my combat log.

In the heroic 5-mans, I kept the raid up with PoM, shields & renew. I kept the tank alive with penance, shield, renew, cancel-casting g-heal, until it was time for penance again. In a pinch I used prayer of healing on the raid, but not very often.

I never had mana issues. I presume rapture was working as it should… however without my WWS analysis I don’t know the details. In all of Kara I used 2 mana pots (we had an enh. shaman with mana spring totem, but no raid members with replenishment were present).

I have never healed as holy so I can’t make any direct comparisons, although in Kara the holy priest was ROCKING circle of healing, so I rarely had to heal the raid and therefore mostly focused on the tanks.

Oh, and PW:Shield never seemed to interfere with either the warrior or the druid tanks’ ability to generate rage/threat. I used Shield whenever it was off cooldown, except at the beginning of pulls when the tanks’ rage bars were at zero.

Divine Aegis procs off of all crit heals (including POM, PoH, and Holy Nova) so as a disc. healer I am going to stack crit chance to about 25% or so unbuffed, maybe more depending on what consensus ultimately forms on the elitistjerks forums. The caster gear I collected as a smite priest seems to have transitioned nicely for the Disc. healer spec because of the generous amount of crit rating.

I can’t think of much else to say other than I’m using Glyph of PW:Shield and Glyph of Renew. So far so good!
