In Valgarde (reachable via Menethil Harbor) there is a quest to use an incense burner and enter the spirit world to overhear some ancient spirits talking.
I recommend completing that, and then committing suicide.
Out in the big central area, you’ll find…The Lich King.
He grabs you, slaps you in a bubble, then monologues fabulously and kills you.
It’s worth dying, just to watch him wax poetic about killing you.

I hope your serious, cause I am going to try that. It sounds like fun!

I loved that bit…you wanna talk about getting the crap scared out of you…I didn’t even see him at first, I was just walking along and then *WHAM* I see “Grasp of the Lich King” pop up on my debuff bar and I’m floating in mid air between two valkyries…er, valkyr…and in front of the Lich King himself and he’s all “I’d take you, but you suck and aren’t worth it yet” and then, the most ass-puckering line of all “Watch when you squeeze, it pops.”
Yeah, good times…

Boo I just sent my pet in and got booted out of the spirit world… wish I would have known that this happened if you actually went up to him

I found him, and decided to see what happened. Worth it. No repair cost, either.

I inhaled the incense too soon (wasn’t really sure where I was supposed to go) and WHAM! BAM! I was in the Grasp of the Lich King. Very, very cool…well worth the repair bill (but no I’m NOT going to do it with every alt!).
